Introduction This report discusses the UI/UX design process of the "G'Tel" application that aims to minimize crime at the G20 event by using identity scanning technology. The application is designed to scan the identity of G20 guests and provide information related to their backgrounds, such as family data, employment status, the person they last met, and their criminal history. This report will detail the problems encountered, recommended solutions, and steps in the UI/UX design of the "G'Tel" application for the G20 event.
I. Problem Analysis: Crime is a serious issue at G20 events that can jeopardize the security and safety of participants. Therefore, there needs to be a mechanism that can verify the identity of guests quickly and effectively to minimize the risk of crime.
II. Goal Setting and Target Users:
Objective: To build a "G'Tel" application that can accurately scan the identity of G20 guests and provide important information about their background.
Target Users: Security team and personnel responsible for maintaining the security of the G20 event.
III. User Research:
Conducted interviews and discussions with security teams and personnel involved in the G20 event to understand their challenges and needs regarding guest identity verification.
Identified user requirements and preferences regarding information display and app navigation.
IV. UI/UX Design:
a. Initial Sketch:
Produce an initial sketch of the "G'Tel" application interface that includes the face scanning process, identity information display, and interface navigation.
Organize the information hierarchy by considering the interests and needs of users.
b. Wireframes and Prototypes:
Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes to describe the app interface in more detail, including organization of information display, use of visual elements, and intuitive navigation.
c. Visual Design:
Implement a visual design that fits the image of the G20 event, including the selection of relevant colors, typography, and icons.
Ensure consistency and clarity of the interface for easy use and understanding of information.
V. Implementation and Testing:
Developed the "G'Tel" application using a suitable development platform.
Conduct functionality, security, and performance testing of the application to ensure that identity scanning runs accurately and responsively.
VI. Evaluation and Analysis:
Evaluated the user experience through user testing and feedback from security teams and personnel who used the "G'Tel" app at the G20 event.
Analyzed the success of the app in minimizing crime by considering the efficiency of identity verification and user satisfaction.
Conclusion This report has described the UI/UX design process of the "G'Tel" application to minimize crime at the G20 event. Using identity scanning technology, the app provides important background information to assist the security team in keeping the event safe. This report can be used as part of the portfolio to demonstrate the ability and contribution in designing effective and safe user experience.
