Project Redesign UI UX peduli lindungi
This one mandatory application is not good. From the ui ux audit problems I encountered in this application in the form of check-in methods that seem to make the buttons less easy to reach, copywriting ask permission is stiff, too complicated or need more effort to be able to see the status of vaccines, the status of swab/pcr/antigen test results, and how to check-out.
First, let me introduce Ahmad Azizi, I am currently starting a new career by plunging into ui and ux design. When I first got to know ui ux design, it was when I was working on an indie movie streaming platform called muvee. At that time it was only a glimpse because when developing the application. I took part in A/B testing. For the tools used by the team at that time, it was unity. Maybe most of you know this one tool is mostly for making games.
Indirectly from there I recognized the term visual hierarchy in application display. Long story short at the beginning of the year I met a new acquaintance who worked in ui ux at a B2B company. From chatting every day, it sparked my interest in ui ux. One by one I learned through the courses I took. From that course, I met my mentor Muhammad Aziz Sukri. He really taught me from the basics or maybe if his friends are from the fundamentals.
From the course we were challenged to make a redesign of the Care Protect application. In the redesign process, of course, there must be a problem that must be resolved or at least not be something that makes application users feel disturbed or uncomfortable. From there I tried to rack my brain digging up memories when I saw people using the Care Protect application when checking in at my office. I remembered someone who wanted to scan the barcode but instead made the employee’s smartphone fall.
From there I started to understand what my mentor said about user friendliness. From that incident, I observed that there was indeed more effort when I wanted to scan the barcode. Because the location of the button is far from the reach of the finger. In this case I tried to change the visual hierarchy. I changed the position at the bottom which is easier for the thumb to reach and there is no need for more effort to press the barcode scan button.
In addition, I tried to apply 60%, 30%, 10% color composition for the color composition level of the application display. For reference, I took from the color composition of the lindugi care logo. The goal is to emphasize brand identity.
Then for negative pcr information and vaccines are placed on the homepage. The reason for the placement, I found my friend was a bit confused where to see the test results and vaccines. Not enough to stop there, I also found that my coworkers often forgot to check out after chekin. Some said it was complicated and didn’t know where the check-out button was. From there I also tried to change the appearance. The display can be seen through the following preview link here. The prototype can be seen through the following link here.
I hope this article can explain how the design thinking process that I applied. Until creating the redesign results of the Care Protect application. Maybe there are still shortcomings in the way I convey through this article or the terms used. Maybe it can be helped to be corrected.
